The British Rail Class 803 AT300 is a type of electric multiple unit (express EMU) built by the Japanese rolling stock manufacturer Hitachi for open-access operator Lumo.

The Class 803 express EMU are based on the Hitachi A-train design and constructed of aluminium.

The Class 803 trains consist of a total of five car units of five carriages each (to date 2020).

The Class 803 trains are used to operate the LUMO passenger service between London King's Cross, Stevenage, Newcastle Central, Morpeth and Edinburgh Waverley on the East Coast Main Line between.

The Class 803 trains are powered by 25 kV 50 Hz overhead electricity supply via pantograph.

Class 803 trains have a maximum speed of 125 mph (200 km/h) and each train can carry a maximum of 402 passengers.

The Class 803 train depot in 2022 is Craigentinny, Edinburgh.

The Class 803 EMU units share a bodyshell with the previous UK A-train bi-mode variants (Classes 800 and 802), the Class 803 do not have diesel engines fitted. Instead the Class 800 trains are fitted with batteries to enable the train's on-board services to be maintained, in case the primary electrical supplies have failed.

Other differences include seating being all standard class and no galley area except from carriage-carriage trolley service. The Class 803 units also feature air conditioning, power sockets and free Wi-Fi.
