THE QUIRE (Choir) and HIGH ALTAR of YORK MINSTER
York Minster - Quire & High Altar architecture: View of the Great East Window from the Quire. The Quire was built in the late 14th century in the Perpendicular style but the wooden choir stalls are not the originals, but reproductions-restorations after the 1829 fire. At the east end of the Quire is the High Altar.
