Starting the walk from Grasmere village, its a lovely short walk up to Easedale Tarn
Grasmere is full of cafe's and there is good cheap car-park at the primary school during holidays.

Walking in the late afternoon is atmospheric as any time in the day as we walk back into Grasmere.
In March 2017 and February 2018 we returned from Easedale Tarn by crossing Easedale Beck eastwards and headed down into Far Easedale.
