Lancrigg Hotel in Grasmere, situated below Helm Crag up which we are about to ascend, on the path of course! The path 'walks' across the terrace of this lovely country house hotel.

Two small tarns just the north of Sergeant Man. You then head south-east and then east down to Easedale Tarn.
Finally Easedale Tarn is reached.
