The Southern Railway Class S15 4-6-0 locomotive was built in 1935 (according to NYMR) as a mixed traffic locomotive and is a development of the famous SR King Arthur Class.
The Southern Railway had no water troughs and so many of the steam locomotives running on the south western section were fitted with large bogie tenders for extra water capacity. VIDEO Santa Special December 2010 featuring Ex SR 825
