The Sage is a wonderful building and well worth a visit even if you are not going to a concert.

Newcastle upon Tyne is a busy, bustling and interesting city to visit. Plenty of places to stay, so accommodation is no problem with lots of hotels. There museums, art galleries, churches and theatres to visit and it seems to have become a favourite venue for trips to night clubs, though a wild nightclub was never my scene! The Baltic Arts Centre, Millennium Bridge, the giant arches of the Tyne Bridge and The Sage Theatre and Concert Hall above the Gateshead Quays all provide a wonderful backdrop to walking by the River Tyne. Newcastle can be readily reached by road, rail, flights and coach.
