Westminster Abbey Chapter House: The entrance from the cloisters to the Chapter House which was built in 1250 by the royal masons. The chapter house of Westminster Abbey was originally used by Benedictine monks in the 13th century for their daily meetings. Later it was used as a meeting place for the King's Great Council and Commons, the predecessors of today's Westminster Parliament.
