14. Annes Grove Gardens, Castletownroche, County Cork
Annes Grove House, Castletownroche, County Cork has the most wonderful famous gardens which you can wander freely around by a paying a few euros at the house. The gardens were created by the late Richard Grove Annesley in the first half of the 20th century. There is a great mixture of native and exotic plants in a lovely natural setting i.e. the minimum of formality. The collection of rhododendrons is of particular interest, and we'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Beautiful laid out flowerbeds are all easily accessed by numerous paths.
The vine grove.
A great variety of trees and shrubs line the many paths in Annes Grove Gardens.
