1. The Urris Hills and Mamore Gap, Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal
Looking south from the landward side of Mamore Gap along the road to Dunree Head (see page 4 on the Dunree Fort Museum). North-west Donegal e.g. the Inishowen Peninsula is very unspoilt and very uncrowded and a delightful area to explore.

Places of interest to visit, good walking in a variety of landscapes, prehistoric archaeology, many blue flag beaches safe for children, seascapes or townscapes of interesting historic buildings in Ireland.
