The beach at Beadnell, Northumberland is on St Oswald's Way

St Ebba's church, Beadnell, was built about 1740 and enlarged in 1792 and wholly gothicized around 1860.

The Craster Arms pub in Beadnell, is a fine looking building was adapted from a medieval Pele tower, somewhat adapted in the 18th century.

Beadnell Hall is a late 17th century building with three sides in an 18th century style.

Some interesting house designs!

The medieval chapel of St Ebba once stood on the rocks of Ebb's Nook southeast of Beadnell harbour. All you can see of the chapel (which had a nave and chancel) is a few bumps and stones in the landscape and even the 'plaque' is missing!

The late 18th century limekilns later used for curing herring and now parts of used as store sheds for fishing equipment.

Quite a bit of the lime kiln stonework has survived the ravages of time.

You can walk down Beadnell beach to the National Trust's Newton Links - a lovely short walk.

The old WW2 concrete blockhouse to observe and protect the coast at Beadnell

The ruins of another lime kiln

By this lime kiln is the sealed shaft of a coal mine that provided fuel for the lime kilns. Nearby is a lake created by water collecting in an old quarry.
