Looking down the one and only street of the village of Appleton-le-Moors which dates from Norman times - a 'planned' post Conquest village.

Appleton Hall, 'The Hall', a substantial Early Victorian Vila, is a very splendid building and private residence, which is nearly opposite Christ Church.
