Middlesbrough Football Club was founded in 1876 and is based in the town of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. The club has a long and storied history with many famous players gracing their ranks over the years.

One of the most famous players in the history of Middlesbrough FC is Brian Clough. Clough played for the club in the 1950s and later returned to manage the team in the 1970s. As a player, Clough scored an impressive 204 goals in 222 appearances for the club.

Another famous player for Middlesbrough FC is Juninho Paulista. The Brazilian attacking midfielder played for the club in three separate spells, and was a key player in their promotion to the Premier League in 1995. Juninho is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever play for the club.

Other famous players for Middlesbrough FC include George Camsell, who scored a whopping 59 goals in the 1926-27 season, and Fabrizio Ravanelli, who helped the team reach the final of the League Cup in 1997.

More recently, players such as Aitor Karanka, Bernie Slaven, and Stewart Downing have also had significant impacts on the club. Downing, in particular, played over 400 games for the team and was instrumental in their run to the UEFA Cup final in 2006.

Overall, Middlesbrough FC has had many great players over the years and continues to be a prominent force in English Football.
