Lake Carrowmore is a beautiful freshwater lake in Co. Mayo. Lake Carrowmore is 4 miles long and 3 miles wide and a popular location for fishing freshwater salmon and resident brown trout.

 It is 2 miles northwest of the village of Bangor and about 13 miles south of Kilcommon Lodge where we heading near the coast of Broadhaven.

You get lovely views along the minor, and very quiet road that runs along the western shoreline of Lake Carrowmore.

	Address: Kilcommon Lodge Hostel, Pullathomas, Ballina, Co. Mayo Ireland, just off the L1202 road. Kilcommon Lodge Holiday Hostel was good place to stay, comfortable, friendly an quite quirky in its way. Kilcommon Lodge is in a lovely location with good views all round. We used it as a base to explore the Belmullet Peninsula.

The graveyard just down the road from Kilcommon Lodge.

Landslides caused the loss of some graves that were washed out to sea on September 19th 2003.
