These are two great beaches on the coast of West Cork in the West of Ireland

Garrettstown Strand is a popular sandy beach and retains a rural feel by being not been over developed. It’s a good family beach with all the usual facilities and a seasonal lifeguard service and great for swimmers and dog walkers. With a ramp down to the beach Garrettstown is also accessible by disabled people. Garrettstown Strand is one of the most popular surfing beaches in the area and is home to a surf school.

Garrylucas Beach lies just west of the Old Head of Kinsale and has Blue Flag status with great expanse of clean, white sand with some areas of grassy dunes and a very popular beach for bathers and dog walkers.  On either side of the beach there are rocky cliffs. It is quite exposed and windy and so good for surfing other water sports. There is a lifeguard in the summer months Again the beach is accessed via ramps and steps.  Good parking and toilet facilities are next to the beach.

Garretstown Strand -  the eastern end is called Molly's Beach

Walking along from Garrettstown Strand to Garrylucas Beach (White Strand) you pass the STRANDED (Garrettstown) beach cafe for pizza, tapas, cafe, wine bar - a pretty good location for refreshments and serves both magnificent beaches.
