Baginbun Beach (was it Bannow beach?) where Strongbow's Norman knights and forces landed in 1170! A much later Martello tower stands on Baginbun Head where Strongbow's advanced party occupied an old promontory fort.
A great quiet, safe and clean beach to bring the family.
Even while we were there, the beach emptied!
