A popular watering hole for tourists in the summer!

Poets Cottage Shrub Nursery The nursery is situated on the banks of the River Esk in the scenic Esk valley, North Yorkshire. The lovely landscaped gardens display fine specimens of trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders, ideas for rockeries, patio plants and planted troughs - lots to look at as you explore this well laid out shrubbery.

The old mill house (dated 1874, but site probably older) is now a private residence in Lealholm, but the supply of water still exists to the ex water mill, the mill race still flows under the house!

The road bridge over the River Esk in Lealholm and beyond it a popular place to play in the water BUT take care (and NOT when in flood!).

The path up from the stepping stones goes past the old Wesleyan Chapel dated 1839, which is still used as a Methodist Church in Lealholm.

Alongside the Whitby road up out of Lealholm are the stones of one of the stone 'trods' once used by pack horse traders.

	Lealholm Village, North York Moors, North Yorkshire, England: The Stable Wing of Lealholm Hall is an excellent holiday cottage at reasonable price at the end of the splendid building of Lealholm Hall. It caters for up to four people and is set in the glorious countryside of the Esk Valley, near Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.
	Lealholm is a very popular venue for tourists to sit by, and play in the River Esk. To cater for visitor refreshment needs there are several places to eat and drink and 'snack' the afternoon away! The Stepping Stones Bakery shop, Lealholm, serves delicious home cooked food on a takeaway basis. The Board Inn. Lealholm is a good pub for a drink and meal.
The local pub by the bridge over the River Esk is the Board Inn for 'pub grub' (above left). The Beck View Tea Room-Cafe (above right) is on the other side of the bridge above the lovely River Esk. The fine building of the Shepherds Hall licensed Restaurant and Tea Room and craft gallery (below) is round the corner from the bridge on the Danby Road (pictures below).
