8. Baysdale - Baysdale Abbey and a walk over Great Hograh Moor

Presumably the remains of Baysdale Abbey have been incorporated into the current dwellings?
The houses, on the site of the medieval Baysdale Abbey
The road to Baysdale Abbey passes over splendid tiny medieval (though restored and strengthened) bridge over Baysdale Beck.
A depression (filled with water) carved into a rock where prehistoric man ground the grain-corn/wheat? This one is found on the north-west moorland above Baysdale, near where the road from Kildale turns down sharp left, and a about 100m on the right on the Cleveland Way footpath.
Lots of wild bluebells and old oak trees by Baysdale Beck near the farm at Baysdale Abbey.
A circular walk to Baysdale and over Hograh Moor
The T junction where the road from Castleton meets the road from Westerdale to Kildale to the west of Sloethorn Park.
Heading due west into Baysdale.
On the right is part of Kildale Moor.

You can choose to further to Baysdale Abbey, but here begin to climb up west onto Hograh Moor. (see last section on walking up to Middle Head
