The west tower and stained glass of Christ Church, Skipton.

Christ Church, Skipton was built by R. D. Chantrell between 1837 and 1839.

Christ Church, Skipton is built in an Early English style with geometrical tracery.

The chancel, altar, east window and choir stall stalls of Christ Church, Skipton.

The stained glass and oak panelling of Christ Church, Skipton were added in 1905.

The large central nave of Christ Church, Skipton has both north and south aisles.

In the 1920’s Sir Charles Nicholson designed the starry ceiling above the chancel, and the Girl’s Friendly Society paid for the imposing giant crucifix which still hangs above the chancel of Christ Church, Skipton today.

By chance, our day in Skipton, after visiting Skipton Castle, was to attend and thoroughly enjoy a concert by the Settle Orchestra

Looking down the nave of Christ Church, Skipton to the chancel as the audience were gathering for a 50th anniversary concert by the Settle Orchestra in 2017.

The pews of Christ Church, Skipton were removed and the oak floor fitted in 2009, complete with under-floor heating!
