Dear Dr.Brown.
I was very happy to receive your recent E-Mail and to know that you have had a well deserved relaxed holiday and that you have overcome the inertia of coming back and starting a new Academic year. I wish you every happiness and perpetual success.
I have had two practical lab weeks with about 40 Students OL IG level they are in two classes. This is an overcrowd. I have photographed recently some students activities, and will attempt to include as attachments in this E-mail. I believe you might be interested in visualising the limitations existing for meaningful practical work carried out in one of the distinguished schools in Cairo. Many other schools almost attempt no practical at all.
I do the practicals on Saturdays , which are usually an official holiday. I am happy to report that this was acceptable to students and parents who drive their boys and girls to school and pick them up after the two hour practical lab periods. They do believe this is worth while.
This year I am relying almost totally on your site support. All students are enthusiastic about it and often every lab ends with about twenty minutes directions to relevant data from your site, specially with the interactive questioning. I really can not thank you enough. Students are having your site on their home computers for long time study, with the blessings of the parents and their appreciation to your effective presentations.
I am including one more picture from a training workshop that I carried out for about sixty senior chemistry teachers for the government language schools. I concentrated in my presentation on your gas preparation topic. I hope you could see your trade mark presentation as handouts with the students and how happy and quite involved they have been. They have been fully introduced to your comprehensive site, and they surely have found it a most important resource to their curriculum.
Please accept most sincerest cordial wishes to you, your colleagues and to the family.
El-Marsafy
