This impressive prehistoric archaeological Neolithic site is on the N17 Ballyshannon-Sligo road about 8 miles south of Ballyshannon.

Creevykeel prehistoric court tomb on the road from Donegal to Sligo. This is a fine example of a 'court cairn' with a full court circle of stones inside a wedge-shaped cairn that might have been 230 feet long.

Creevykeel prehistoric court tomb dates back to Neolithic times and could be over 4000-5000 years old.

Creevykeel prehistoric court tomb contained cremated burials, stone axe heads, stone beads, flint arrowheads and Neolithic pottery.
