Ireland 3. The prehistoric Kealkill Stone circle near Bantry, Co. Cork
A small five stone circle next to two large thick rectangular standing stones of the Kealkil circle.
The tallest of the two megaliths is 12 feet high in this archaeological site.
On the right is a stone ringed cairn.
Its a small site but a lot packed in it!
A small gap (left) for sighting through?
The sea is just visible through a dip in the hills, a very atmospheric site! previous Irish site <=> next Irish site
