8. Baysdale - Baysdale Abbey and a walk over Great Hograh Moor
Presumably the remains of Baysdale Abbey have been incorporated into the current dwellings?
A depression (filled with water) carved into a rock where prehistoric man ground the grain-corn/wheat? This one is found on the north-west moorland above Baysdale, near where the road from Kildale turns down sharp left, and a about 100m on the right on the Cleveland Way footpath. A walk to Baysdale and over Hograh Moor
The T junction where the road from Castleton meets the road from Westerdale to Kildale.
Heading due west into Baysdale.
On the right is part of Kildale Moor.

Heading down to some farm buildings and to cross Baysdale Beck.
