Picturesque Malham village is set in the north end of the gloriously scenic Malhamdale and a suitable starting place for the short walk to Malham Cove. The Buck Inn is a fine 'country inn' across the road from Malham Beck and a starting or finishing point for many a walker. Good food and beer in very comfortable surroundings.

Malham has a Yorkshire Dales National Park Centre (run by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority). Although is no cafe, there is good parking, toilets and a picnic area.
The YHA Malham Youth Hostel is ideal for families, individuals or groups. Meals are available and the premises are licensed.
The Old Barn Cafe by Malham Beck supplies good home cooked food and, in its own words, 'muddy boots always welcome'!
The Lister Arms is a handsome 17th century building and specialises in European Beers and Real Ales. It was a purpose built coaching inn.
Beck Hall is an early 18th century house (~1710) accessed by car and stone clapper bridge across Malham Beck and has a teashop. It is close to the Town Head Barn restored by English Heritage and kitted out with displays of the life and culture of a rural community in the Yorkshire Dales.
