The Saltersgate Inn, is below Saltergate Bank, on the busy A169 Whitby Pickering road, near the famous and geologically scenic Hole of Horcum on the North York Moors, North Yorkshire, England. You can walk from the car park above Saltergate Bank down through it. Eventually you can reach Newton Dale Gorge and peer down on the steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
