Hexham is a lovely historic market town west of Newcastle in Northumbria. The Cornmill Coffee Shop (left & right) accompanied by the 'Body Work Centre' for complementary therapies provides good refreshments - though all we needed was a good pot of tea and a good snack and you have the choice to sit outside in a quiet square to. The wonderful Hexham Abbey Church is well worth a visit and, out of the market square, into the jail museum too!
