The White Lion Inn in the tiny hamlet of Cray in Upper Wharfedale serves good bar meals and several fine Yorkshire Dales walks pass by it and has good car parking facilities. It is set in typical Yorkshire Dales National Park limestone country north-east of Buckden on the B6160 Buckden to Aysgarth road. The Inn was once a drovers hostelry but now serves many an aficionado of the 'Dales' and its many attractions. The path crossing the stepping stones of the waters of Cray Gill leads through fields to open fells and excellent walking beyond. It is also not that far from the bustling and interesting town of Skipton.
