The Old Post

quiet village of Commondale nestling in the North York Moors,
England, provides
refreshment when out walking. Commondale can be reached by
railway train on the beautiful River Esk Valley Middlesbrough to

The Cleveland
Inn, Commondale, provides an alternative break point when
walking in this area of North Yorkshire. Just up the hill call in at St
Peter's Church for two fine pieces of stained glass window.
The church is built of red Commondale brick from the
Commondale brickworks of ~ 1850-1950 of which barely a trace remains.
There is a bridle path walk to
Castleton village, lovely at any time of
the year.
