3. The Fossil Cliff Coast at Charmouth on the south-west coast of Dorset

The pebble beach at Charmouth and the Jurassic fossil bearing cliffs in the distance (180-195 million years old). Fossils found include ammonites, nautilus, belemnites, crinoids, shells and bones etc.

 

Landslips offer the best opportunity for finding new fossils!
