4. Appleton-le-Moors Village, some fine buildings
Christ Church, Appleton-le-Moors was built around 1865 by J. L. Pearson in the 'French Gothic' style of architecture.

Appleton Hall, a very splendid building and private residence, which is nearly opposite Christ Church.
