Duncannon, Beach, Fort and Harbour The Hook Peninsula is an an unspoilt, scenic, historic and relatively unexplored area of south-east Ireland in Co. Wexford. The spit of land juts out southwards forming the eastern shore of Waterford Harbour. Its a great place for quiet leisure breaks, family holidays or specialist activities. The Hook peninsula has many lovely clean and secluded beaches with set in wonderful scenic landscapes. Its an excellent area for bird watching, fishing e.g. angling of rocky coastal outcrops and even whales and dolphins pass by! There is great coastal walking and both busy and sleepy fishing villages and harbours to visit.
