28. River Suir waterfront-quay scenes, Waterford Town-City, Co. Waterford
Looking east down the River Suir from the Town to Ferrybank road bridge as a motor boat speeds by. The spire of Christ Church Cathedral is seen in the centre horizon and a rather rusty trawler on the right on the main waterfront.
Looking west up the River Suir from the Town to Ferrybank road bridge.
The marina quays of yacht berths near Reginald's Tower (see page 30). This is very different Waterford to when I first visited in the early 70's when it seemed in a pretty depressed run-down state. Now its a vibrant busy city with much to offer the tourist in the way of places to stay, places to visit e.g. museums and Waterford Glass Factory and carnivals and festivals.
Waterford waterfront on the banks of the River Suir - looking east (above) and west (below).
