Along the coastal cliff path to Tramore, an excellent walk, though all the way is quite long, best to go from Dunmore East to Portally (below) and return.

The huge Tramore Strand (beach), excellent breakers when the wind is up a bit.

The huge and popular Tramore Strand (beach), excellent breakers when the wind is up a bit. On the distant right are the 'metal men' which are navigation points for fishing vessels entering Dunmore East or Tramore harbours.

 

The ferry from Passage East to Ballyhack and on down to Hooke Head

The car ferry from Passage East (Co. Waterford) to Ballyhack (Co. Wexford) and on down to Hooke Head (see page 25). The 16th century Ballyhack Castle, a fortified tower house, is straight ahead.

The "Dunbrody", a replica of SS Dunbrody, a famine sailing ship that carried thousands of Irish immigrants to America, is moored on the River Barrow at New Ross, Co. Wexford.
