2. The Urris Hills coast,
Leenan Beach and Dunaff
Head, Inishowen Peninsula, Co. Donegal
SCENES from IRELAND

Looking south-west along the Urris Hills.

Looking north-east along the Urris Hills. There
are lots of short walks around the roads below the Urris Hills and the
very quiet, sleepy and spread out village of Urris.

The coast near Urris, looking south for lots
of good coastal walking and 'scenic' driving in the car along roads with
little traffic on them and you rarely pass a walker too.

Looking north to Dunaff Head, with Urris
village below it on the landward side. Dunaff Head is on the eastern
side of the Inishowen Peninsula and there is plenty of good holiday
walking along the coast including walks up and around Dunaff Head.

The beautifully situated Leenan beach east of
Urris, clean sand, good bathing and never too crowded!

Looking west to the Urris Hills.

The ever friendly donkeys residing in the
lush fields below the Urris Hills.

Sunset over the Urris Hills in the ever
changing light.

The western sunset over Dunaff Head on our final
excellent B & B
evening.

Leenan Beach,
Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, North-West Ireland:
Further along
the coast from Dunaff Head near Urris is the delightfully
clean quiet beach at Leenan (Lenan ?). The surrounding scenery is
wonderful, ranging from the Urris Hills and the Atlantic
Coast, fit to accompany any picnic and a stroll on the beach
and a 'sea' swim in lovely.Atlantic Ocean! |

Dunaff Head, Urris Village, Inishowen
Peninsula, Co. Donegal, West of Ireland: Dunaff Head is
a small rocky and hilly headland near the village of Urris
on the Inishowen Peninsula. It is a lovel picnic walk high
above the village and sea,. Although there is no track, it
