North of Dublin in between the coastal resort towns of Skerries and Balbriggan lies the Ardgillan Demesne consisting of a fine house and sweeping expansive grounds you can walk around.

Ardgillan Demesne - Castle and Gardens, Fingal County Council, County Dublin, Ireland : The Ardgillan Demesne consists of Ardgillan Castle and Ardgillan Gardens and is owned and run by Fingal County Council, part of the north of County Dublin, Ireland. There are extensive grounds to walk around, picnic area, cafe (can sit outside too)  and children's playground BUT the real treat is the fantastic acres of walled gardens with the most sumptuous displays of flowers for much of the year.
