Walk to Crakehall Village: After walking along the footpath of the A684 you turn right across the fields to head for Crakehall village.

Walk to Crakehall Village: Prominently situated in front of the village green is Crakehall Hall which was extended in 1732.

Walk to Crakehall Village: Crakehall Hall is an early 18th century building in the grand Georgian style. It has seven bays and two and a half storeys with a hipped roof. The entrance has an added later 18th century porch of two pairs of Roman Doric columns and a fluted frieze.
Walk to Crakehall Village: Some of the cottages astride the village green, many date from the early 18th century.
Walk to Crakehall Village: The Bay Horse Inn, the local pub, popular with locals and visitors, good beer and good food.

Walk to Crakehall Village: St Gregory's Church is situated on the village green and was built in 1840 by John Harper. It has a tall bellcote and a buttressed nave.

Walk to Crakehall Village: The nave has groups of three stepped lancet windows but the east window (centre) has a group of five tall lancet windows. A simple, humble, but not unattractive church.
