21. Melmerby, Skirwith Church, views of Dufton Pike and sunset over the Eden Valley and the Lake District
A curious house? in Melmerby village.
Excellent organic food and tea/coffee etc. at the Melmerby Village Bakery. Nice to call in after a bracing walk up to High Cup Nick!
On the drive back from Melmerby to Dufton Youth Hostel the evening sky seemed set for a some photography.
Called at Skirwith to see St John's Church, Skirwith, a fine red sandstone Victorian building built in 1856 or 1865? in the Gothic Revival style.
