There is lots of good walking up through Guisborough Woods and up on to the wild open moorland. Here you are looking down on Guisborough as you walk up through the woods to join the Cleveland Way.

The Cleveland Way markers show the intrepid walkers the way to the characteristic peak of Roseberry Topping!
The land around Roseberry Topping is managed by the National Trust.
In the gathering gloom the remnants of tree felling stand out starkly with the equally sharp outline of Roseberry Topping in the distance.
The weather brightened up on the way back!
Before descending into Guisborough you pass under the impressive set of rocks of Highcliff Nab.
A favourite beginners spot for rock climbing.
Heading down into the upper housing estates of Guisborough, some quite nice stone buildings of Hunter Hill Farm on the right. |
